Overview
The Communication Specialist will develop, manage, and monitor advocacy and communication strategies to raise awareness and support for children's and women's rights in the North region of Brazil.
Tasks Summary
- Develop, implement, and monitor advocacy, communication, and SBC strategies for the North region.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local media.
- Build and expand networks and partnerships for advocacy objectives.
- Support national and global resource mobilization efforts.
- Lead communication and advocacy for targeted national initiatives.
- Establish communication baselines and evaluate strategy effectiveness.
- Prepare and share reports on progress and results.
- Provide expert advice on external communication strategies and activities.
Experience Requirements
- Five years of progressively responsible and relevant professional work experience in communication, print, broadcast, and/or new media, including strategy development and implementation.
- Experience in working with communication for human rights in a development context at a local level.
- Experience in developing strategic communication materials, event organization, project management, and reports to donors.
- Experience in liaising with media and as a spokesperson for institutional communication.
Qualification Requirements
• Advanced university degree (master’s) in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field.
