Overview

Assists with substantive support for strategic planning and coordination of UNCT strategic partnerships with civil society, the private sector, and others for SDG achievement. Participates in joint partnership and resource mobilization initiatives and supports management of pooled funds for the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.


Tasks Summary
  • Provides advice on UN Partnership Strategy development and implementation.
  • Supports UNCT working groups for strategy monitoring and assessment.
  • Conducts liaison and coordination with UN entities for local UN partnerships.
  • Serves as an entry point for external stakeholders seeking to partner with the UNCT.
  • Provides support to the Resident Coordinator (RC) and UNCT in identifying partnership risks and opportunities.
  • Provides inputs on due diligence processes for investment and partnership opportunities.
  • Serves as liaison to Global Compact Local Networks or regional hubs.
  • Develops and implements locally tailored resource mobilization strategies.
  • Monitors and analyzes existing resource mobilization partnerships.
  • Supports UNCT with analysis of funding streams.
  • Supports UNCT in preparation of the Funding Framework.
  • Provides support to the design of joint programmes.
  • Advises RC/UNCT on offers from specialized UN entities and youth partnership strategy.
  • Advises RC/UNCT on corporate policies for resource management.
  • Assists in the establishment and management of the country-based SDG Fund.
  • Provides advice on partnership opportunities to drive financing for development options.
  • Prepares briefing papers and discussion points on partnership issues.
  • Contributes to advocacy, communications, and dialogues with partners.

Experience Requirements
  • Experience in strategic planning and coordination of partnerships with civil society, private sector, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in resource mobilization strategies and initiatives.
  • Experience in monitoring and analyzing resource mobilization partnerships.
  • Experience in engaging with private sector, civil society, and development partners.
