Overview
Research, extract, and compile basic information and technical data on specific programmes/projects and related topics. Assists in monitoring developments and preparing reports and presentations.
Tasks Summary
- Researches, extracts and compiles basic information and technical data
- Assists in monitoring developments/issues
- Assembles original statistical material; adjusts reported data and loads data into computerized database system
- Assists in the evaluation and examination of data sets
- Assists in the maintenance of relevant computerized databases
- Prepares a variety of reports, presentations, tables, lists, graphs, charts and/or diagrams
- Prepares abstracts/bibliographic descriptions
- Reviews, stores, classifies, and maintains relevant computerized databases
- Takes notes and drafts executive summaries of meetings
- Collects, organizes and disseminates relevant UN and media information
- Coordinates and sets up press briefings, press statements, pamphlets or other public awareness campaigns
- Provides guidance/training to new/junior staff
- Assists with the collection and analysis of data as well as preparation of data presentations and reports
- Assists with visualizations and updating information material
- Performs other related work as required
Experience Requirements
Five years of experience in collecting and researching data across various areas of social and economic development is required. Three (3) years of relevant experience for candidates with a first-level university degree or higher. One (1) year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable. Experience in Gender Equality related issues is required.
Qualification Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
