Support with document preparation, event coordination, data analysis, and research related to economic affairs and sustainable development.

Tasks Summary

• Draft background notes, reports, briefings, and presentations
• Assist in organising technical meetings, webinars, and workshops
• Attend and assist in preparing reports for conferences and meetings
• Provide data and statistical support on financing for development, clean water and sanitation
• Leverage statistical tools, methods, and generative AI-based LLMs
• Conduct literature reviews and identify research areas

Experience Requirements

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.

Qualification Requirements

• Enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
• Enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
• Field of study closely related to the internship

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in spoken and written English is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Work Modality: New York

Remuneration: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
