Overview

The incumbent estimates, orders, receives, and distributes medical supplies for health centers/points. They participate in planning, supervising, monitoring, and evaluating the Agency’s pharmaceutical services.

Tasks Summary

• Estimates, orders, receives, and distributes medical supplies using computer systems
• Participates in planning, directing, supervising, monitoring, and evaluating pharmaceutical services
• Undertakes supervisory visits to health centers/points to ensure supply availability and adherence to policies
• Advises on staff development needs and conducts in-service training
• Reviews and scrutinizes supply requisitions
• Assists in the administration of pharmacies
• Coordinates needs assessment studies and liaises with counterparts
• Participates in recruiting, orienting, training, directing, and evaluating pharmaceutical staff
• Follows up supply documents for rejected, short, expired, and damaged medical supplies
• Acts for Field Pharmaceutical Services Officer during absence

Experience Requirements

• At least six years of experience in pharmacy services
• Two of which at supervisory level in administration of the medical supply operation is required

Qualification Requirements

• A university degree in pharmacy or other related discipline
• A valid license to practice pharmacy in the country of duty station (where applicable)

Contract Duration: Fixed Term Appointment for 1 year; including 1 year probation period, with the possibility of further extension

Remuneration: Monthly basic salary USD 1,877.20, payable in JD at UN monthly exchange rate• Other benefits include
