ASOCIACION LA ROTLLANA BADALONA, Spain Volunteer opportunity: Building Link - SHORT-TERM - SOCIOCULTURAL ANIMATION
Volunteer will be in team with the staff of professionals and other volunteers of La Rotllana. S/he will take part in all the activities proposed SUMMER ACTIVITIES (SUMMER CAMPS and SUMMER'S SQUARE) to brought light on the impact of community. Also, volunteer will be involved in other youth participation. Volunteer will take part in the organization, proposals and realization of new activities open to local community and envigorate youth on volunteering. Schedule will be realized between mornings and afternoons. The program can include activities on Saturdays. Project will be done for 37,5h per week, normally from Monday to Friday. In this activity you will be involve in leadering activities with youth, teenegers and kids. Spanish level is mandatory because volunteer service will be supporting direct activities with minnors. MOBILITY OF 59 DAYS Accommodation, food and transport arrangements Volunteer will be hosted in individual room (maybe need to share maximum two months per year) and shared flat with others volunteers. Accommodation is equipped with all needs as hot water, electricity, heating, furniture and 2 separates bathrooms. Wi-fi is available and free. Accommodation is situated in the quarter where hosting association is leading activities. At same time, has good connections by public transport (metro and bus). Tickets to public transport will be provided in case of need. Food will be provided by monthly cash and also volunteer will receive each month pocket money. Training during the activity La Rotllana will organize arrival traning in the organIzation, to introduce the project, community, activities and tools for methods of work. Participant profile Volunteer shouldn’t have a particular qualification but must be interested in dissemination on social media and communication, also, to have a confront at intercultural context and with the third sector, must be motivated to engage in support of the mission of the organization (which pursues the abatement of stereotypes, racism, and social exclusion) and show an open attitude to learn especially experiential (learning by doing). We are looking for somebody with EXPERIENCE IN VOLUNTEERING in contexts of social exclusion, who really likes working with children and young people, flexible and interested in our activities.
