Overview
Assist in the development and implementation of the MEAL strategy and workplan; and contribute to DRC strategy, accountability commitments and learning needs and priorities.
Tasks Summary
- Follow data protection protocols and steps.
- Support capacity building and training for programme and field staff.
- Follow accountability and ethical standards.
- Engage in collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
- Assist colleagues in Project Cycle Management.
- Assist in implementation of MEAL plans, indicator tracking tools.
- Assist in project Kick-off, Quarterly Review and Close-out meetings.
- Assist in implementation and data collection for results frameworks and monitoring processes.
- Carry out field level data collection and field monitoring.
- Apply ethical principles in field work.
- Implement protocols for data protection, storage, sharing, and security.
- Support the analysis and reporting of MEAL qualitative and quantitative data.
- Support the Project Manager, programme teams and grants management.
- Support implementation of community engagement and feedback mechanisms.
- Assist in the implementation of DRC’s Community Feedback Mechanism.
- Register and follow up to complaints.
- Support data gathering.
- Support sharing MEAL findings, feedback, and learning.
- Regularly present key MEAL findings and feedback to supervisors.
- Participate in and assist in evaluation processes.
- Perform other duties as directed.
Experience Requirements
- At least 1 year experience working with NGOs and/or the humanitarian sector, and use of data collection tools.
- Ability to collect data and perform data quality steps.
- Ability to follow and communicate instructions in relation to ethical principles.
- Ability to discuss and follow priorities.
- Skill in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general data literacy.
- Ability to think critically.
- Interest to explore and learn about data collection software.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with DRC Core Sectors (desirable).
- Direct experience involving data collection, working as an enumerator, and/or working with the communities (desirable).
- Experience working in insecure environments, when relevant (desirable).
Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (international development, social sciences, statistics, Economics, public health, etc.) + at least 1 year of relevant experience.
