Overview
Supports the implementation of the staff health strategy, specifically the mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) strategy for staff within a delegation.
Tasks Summary
- Develops and implements a structured Staff MHPSS action plan at the sub-delegation level
- Provides organizational and clinical support following security incidents impacting the delegation
- Offers assistance for medical evacuations if needed
- Delivers direct clinical support to staff facing psychological distress, mental disorders, critical incidents, or experiences of harassment/violence
- Collaborates with the delegation’s staff health team to assess and update staff MHPSS needs
- Updates the mental health referral system, organizing staff referrals and case follow-ups
- Complies with ICRC health standards, implementing culturally appropriate monitoring and evaluation tools
- Supervises mental health consultants in Gaza, managing administrative tasks and offering technical guidance
- Maintains contacts with health authorities, academia, and technical advisers
- Builds collaborative relationships with team leaders
