Overview

Conduct a Mid-Term Review for two projects: 'Ecosystem Restoration and Sustainable Land Management to Improve Livelihoods and Protect Biodiversity in Nauru' and 'Integrated Land Management, Restoration of Degraded Landscapes and Natural Capital Assessment in the Mountains of Papua New Guinea'. The review will assess achievements, identify challenges, and propose corrective measures.

Tasks Summary

• Conduct preliminary desk review and introductory interviews
• Prepare the review framework
• Identify stakeholders
• Develop interview/questions matrix
• Plan the review schedule
• Prepare MTR Inception Report
• Conduct further desk review and in-depth interviews
• Undertake field assessment missions to Nauru and Papua New Guinea
• Report progress to Task Manager
• Draft MTR Review Reports
• Liaise with Task Manager on comments and finalize reports
• Prepare Response to Comments annex
• Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders
• Communicate promptly with Task Manager

Experience Requirements

Experience in conducting mid-term reviews of environmental projects, specifically in ecosystem restoration, sustainable land management, biodiversity conservation, and natural capital assessment. Experience with GEF-funded projects is desirable.
