Overview

Leads the development and supervision of GEF projects related to POPs wastes and electronics. Supports the operation and direction of the UNEP High Impact Sector Team and electronics work areas.

Tasks Summary

• Leads identification, development, and approval of new projects.
• Establishes and maintains legal and operational delivery structures for projects.
• Supervises Executing Agencies to ensure project delivery and compliance.
• Provides quality assurance of technical outputs and leads corrective actions.
• Contributes to technical guidance and advisory for UNEP Electronics projects.
• Aligns and contributes GEF portfolio inputs into UNEP publications and communication materials.
• Supports private sector engagement.
• Collects and analyzes data to identify trends and provide insights.

Experience Requirements

Experience in designing, implementing, and overseeing international environmental projects and portfolios, including partner coordination and compliance.
