Overview

The IT Service Assistant role is responsible for coordinating production, maintenance, and evolution of data warehouse and reporting activities, as well as defining and supervising training for reporting and power users.

Tasks Summary
  • Coordinate the production, maintenance and evolution for data warehouse and reporting activities.
  • Define, propose and supervise the training activities related to reporting and power users.
  • Monitor data quality and suggest improvements.
  • Improve integration and continuous delivery processes.
  • Support and, when required, be able to step in for the Head of Sector in leading and managing the activities.
Experience Requirements
  • Proven management experience as team leader of large teams (at least 5 years, managing teams of over 20 members).
  • Sound project management potential, in particular the ability to motivate and develop large teams (at least 5 years).
  • Good task coordination and prioritisation skills and technical expert coordination.
  • Good initiative capability and independent problem-solving experience.
  • Hands-on knowledge with Power BI, GITLab and Dynatrace particularly in encrypted environments.
  • Proficiency in reporting and data quality development processes.
  • Good knowledge around core data warehouse principles (Kimball, normal forms etc).
  • Ability to liaise with both IT and business partners in order to communicate their needs and objectives to the project teams.
  • Knowledge in the area of Data Warehouse (SAP Business Objects and Power BI) and practical experience in data quality techniques and automation will be an asset.
  • Experience in IT development / service management will be an asset.
Qualification Requirements
  • A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma, or
  • A level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education, and appropriate professional experience of at least three years.
  • ITIL certification
Other Details

Languages Required: • Have a thorough knowledge (minimum level C1) of one of the 24 official languages of the EU • AND a satisfactory knowledge (minimum level B2) of a second official language of the EU, to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties.

Languages Preferred: • Proficiency in English • French an asset

Contract Duration: The duration of the 1st contract will be up to 4 years. The contract might then be extended only once for a maximum of 2 years.

Work Modality: possibility of teleworking

Remuneration: The pay of staff members consists of a basic salary supplemented with specific allowances, including, where applicable, expatriation and family allowances.
