Tasks Summary

TECHO Peru has diversified its projects based on the needs of the communities, responding by assembling emergency housing modules, modular community centres, installing signage, among other projects that improve the habitat and habitability of beneficiary families. The volunteer will support the planning, execution, and improvement of supply and logistics processes in community projects, under the supervision of TECHO Peru's Logistics Department. Their work contributes to strengthening operational efficiency, ensuring the responsible use of resources, and improving the impact of community interventions. In addition, they collaborate in the management of tools, warehouses and institutional events, and play an active role in the coordination, monitoring and retention of the logistics volunteer team, promoting its proper organisation, sustained participation and sense of belonging within the area. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements The volunteer will have established work spaces, so that s/he can develop the tasks assigned to her/him and will be provided with the necessary inputs for the provision of assistance; Accompaniment by TECHO Peru's board of directors and by the assigned mentor; Participation in training spaces organized by TECHO Peru for the permanent team. The volunteer will be provided with a monthly allowance of 650EUR and accommodation, as well as a return flight ticket to and from the country of origin. A health insurance scheme will be provided and all costs related to the briefing/debriefing covered. Training during the activity Be part of a multidisciplinary team where you can learn about other professions and the national context; Learn about the characteristics of poverty and inequality from a human rights perspective; Project management and evaluation with a focus on corporate social responsibility and sustainability; Develop your leadership and teamwork skills; Expand your professional network in the field of community development; Understand the importance of sustainable and ethical practices in supply and logistics management; Develop skills to adapt to unforeseen situations. Participant profile ● Education: Professional graduate or student in the final stages of a degree in Administration, Industrial Engineering, International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related fields. ● Languages: Spanish. ● Programs (desirable): ○ Proficiency in Google Drive tools for data processing and information analysis. ○ Design tools such as Canva. ○ Knowledge of Power BI, AutoCAD, or inventory management. ● Competencies: ○ Ability to analyse data, identify patterns and develop effective logistics strategies, considering resource optimisation and operational efficiency. ○ Skills to collaborate in negotiation processes with suppliers, providing technical support and helping to ensure that agreements are aligned with institutional objectives and have a positive impact on communities. ● Soft skills: ○ Commitment. ○ Empathy. ○ Proactivity. ○ Conflict management. ○ Inclusivity. ○ Learning ability. ○ Collaboration. ○ Teamwork ability. Eligibility : Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
