Overview
The Protection from Violence Officer position is responsible for delivering NRC Protection from Violence (PfV) interventions in Chernihivska and Sumska oblast from Shostka field office, and to support PfV colleagues from other duty stations if needed.
Tasks Summary
- Deliver NRC Protection from Violence (PfV) interventions.
- Provide Individual Protection Assistance, including in-kind support and cash assistance.
- Provide protection referrals, counseling, and accompaniment.
- Conduct protection monitoring activities.
- Support community self-protection initiatives.
- Monitor and coordinate the activities of PfV implementing partners.
- Ensure compliance with NRC policies, guidelines, and standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and collect data.
- Contribute to tracking financial expenditures.
- Contribute to timely developing status and other reports.
- Assess, promote, and document ideas for technical improvement.
- Ensure interventions target beneficiaries most in need.
- Contribute to local advocacy efforts.
- Provide psychological first aid.
- Ensure regular collection, analysis, and internal dissemination of protection information.
- Support field data collection for assessments and analyses.
- Represent NRC at external meetings.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 or 2 years of professional experience preferably including experience within the humanitarian sector.
- Previous experience working with vulnerable populations.
- Previous experience working in protection or protection-related projects in the humanitarian or NGO sector, or previous experience or training in social work.
