Assists in managing and investing assets of corporate and government related bond portfolios, conducting investment research, and making investment recommendations.
Tasks Summary
- Assists the Senior Investment Officer Credit to manage and invest assets of corporate and government related bond portfolios.
- Balances long-term strategic goals with short-term performance objectives.
- Monitors portfolio holdings and conducts security analysis.
- Complies with risk control parameters.
- Integrates Principles of Responsible Investments into investment analysis.
- Conducts portfolio reviews and analysis.
- Performs fundamental and quantitative fixed income corporate securities analysis.
- Reviews investment research and discusses with strategists and economists.
- Analyzes ETFs, interest rates, capital structures, and corporate ESG data.
- Attends investment conferences and seminars.
- Assists in evaluating the performance of research providers and vendors.
- Supports the implementation of OIM derivative projects.
- Makes specific investment recommendations ensuring fund criteria.
- Presents and discusses investment recommendations.
- Participates in discussions and development of investment recommendations for asset allocation.
- Assists in the preparation of reports to the Representative of the Secretary-General and Director of Fixed Income.
- Assists the Director of Fixed Income in reporting on investments to governing bodies.
- Assists in the creation of reports with financial software.
Experience Requirements
A minimum of five years of experience analyzing corporate credit securities including ESG considerations is required. Portfolio management analytics experience in US fixed income credit markets is required. Experience in trading US corporate bond exposures at a large pension fund, investment manager or insurance company, is desirable. Experience in quantitative portfolio modeling is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
Advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in Business and Administration (MBA), Finance, Economics or related field is required. A first degree level university degree in combination with two additional years of experience in investment management may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.
