Overview

The HR Manager is a strategic partner to NRC Mozambique country management team, responsible for HR function operational services and ensuring alignment with NRC’s HR function strategy, priorities, frameworks and standards.

Tasks Summary
  • Line management responsibilities for directly reporting staff, including performance management, workforce planning, recruitment, staff induction, and staff development.
  • Responsible for HR support to line managers and building the capability of HR staff.
  • Develop country specific HR and administration procedures, guidelines and tools.
  • Ensure Terms of Employment adhere to NRC’s employment standards and national labour law.
  • Develop the HR annual plan of action and ensure implementation of new global HR initiatives.
  • Provide strategic HR advice and support to the country’s management group and line managers.
  • Handle personnel matters and conflict management.
  • Responsible for the country’s HR quality data in NRC HR management system.
  • Exercise control and oversight of country and area offices HR work.
  • Manage office and accommodation facilities.
  • Manage work permit, immigration and visa processes.
  • Support the ambition of having a workforce representing the area where we work.
  • Facilitate necessary support to internal and external audits.
  • Participate and follow up on HR aspects in NRC Project Cycle Management activities.
  • Lead HR processes for change management and structural changes.
  • Establish and manage overall administration in the country.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience from working as a senior HR Manager in a humanitarian/recovery context.
  • Experience from driving change and manage the HR disciplined confidently.
  • Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.
Qualification Requirements
Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in English, both written and verbal • Fluency in Portugues, both written and verbal

Languages Preferred: • Advantage is having knowledge of the local language of Cabo Delgado: Mwani, Macua or Maconde.

Contract Duration: Permanent Contract

Work Modality:

Remuneration: • grade 9 on NRC’s pay scale.
