Overview

The Head of Sub-Office will provide support to the CoM in managing operational, human resources, administrative, financial, and supply chain functions of the Sub-Office. The role also involves strengthening relationships with stakeholders and driving private sector engagement.

Tasks Summary
  • Provide support to the CoM in managing the Operational, Human Resources, Administrative, Financial and Supply Chain functions of the Sub-Office.
  • Streamline the implementation of institutional procedures across the Sub-Office.
  • Contribute to maintaining, promoting and strengthening working relationships with governmental authorities, international organizations, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
  • Drive IOM’s Private Sector engagement in Hong Kong SAR with targeted outreach and stewardship to private sector stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and support private sector engagement across institutional priorities and key thematic areas of engagement in China and the Asia Pacific Region.
  • Enhance the stewardship of private sector stakeholders in coordination with HQ.
  • Provide technical inputs to the design and development of new projects.
  • Support the implementation and reporting of all programme activities in the Sub-Office.
  • Provide regular updates to the CoM on programme implementation, achievements and donor liaison issues.
  • Contribute to establishing the visibility of IOM and the donors.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Experience Requirements
  • Two years of relevant professional experience with a Master’s degree; or, four years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in liaison with government authorities, donors, national/international institutions and multi-stakeholders.
  • Experience in private sector partnership and income building with proven success in mobilizing financial resources from corporations and philanthropic foundations.
  • Excellent understanding of private sector priorities and gained experience in developing partnerships and fundraising with the private sector.
  • Experienced in working cross-functionally and obtaining relevant content and information from different units to build innovative partnerships with private sector.
  • Experience in project development and reporting.
  • Experience in programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Experience working in the Region.
Qualification Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, Humanitarian Affairs, Law, International Relations, Disaster Risk Reduction/Disaster Risk Management, or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in the above fields.
Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese) is required (oral and written).

Contract Duration: 12 months
