Overview
Coordinate the "Countering Harmful Practices F4B Project" at the regional level in Afar, Ethiopia. The role focuses on strengthening local civil society organizations to prevent and respond to harmful practices.
Tasks Summary
- Provide overall regional level coordination for the Countering Harmful Practices F4B Project.
- Support the effective and timely implementation of the project at regional level.
- Ensure activities are delivered smoothly, resources are used efficiently, and partnerships are well coordinated.
- Focus on day-to-day coordination, monitoring, and reporting of project activities within the assigned region.
- Work closely with regional government bureaus, Amref Health Africa, and local implementing partners to facilitate collaboration, address implementation challenges, and support the achievement of project results.
- Contribute to promoting gender equality, disability inclusion, and climate-sensitive approaches in regional implementation.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in regional project management.
- Strong sectoral expertise on SRHR, CP/GBV, and related sectors with good understanding of regional context.
- Experience in budget management and monitoring.
- Experience of working on complex projects that involves diversified local implementing partners.
- Know-how of SRH and GBV strategies/policy frameworks, teenage pregnancy roadmap, child marriage, and FGM.
- Experience in planning, budget management, delivering trainings.
Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Science, Project Management, Reproductive Health, Sociology, Development studies, or related field.
