The role drives the strategic direction of an integrated program, ensuring design integrates humanitarian needs with development goals and oversees operational quality and effectiveness of programs.
Tasks Summary
- Drive the overall strategic direction of the integrated program.
- Design, document, and manage the program's defined transitioning pathway.
- Guarantee that all activities utilize an effective area-based programming model.
- Continuously analyze the socio-political, security, and market context.
- Ensure timely and quality emergency responses and malnutrition supplements provision.
- Oversee the operational quality and effectiveness of school feeding programs.
- Direct rapid, market-sensitive interventions.
- Champion the implementation of sustainable agriculture, livestock, value chain, and micro-enterprise development activities.
- Oversee the program's Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) system.
- Ensure all program activities and expenditure strictly comply with donor regulations.
- Manage the complex, multi-component budget.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a multi-disciplinary program team.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate operational, security, financial, and programmatic risks.
- Actively participate in and drive key coordination forums.
- Manage relationships and build the capacity of local implementing partners.
- Champion the program's integrated approach and transition successes.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in direct implementation of food security, livelihood, or community mobilization in a humanitarian setting
- Experiences in managing food Assistance projects is an added advantage.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation of humanitarian programmes
- Demonstrated experience of integrated gender and diversity issues into humanitarian programmes.
Qualification Requirements
• University degree in any discipline related to Humanitarian Action, Social Sciences.
