Overview

The role involves supporting the finalization of country reports analyzing the implementation of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC). The contractor will adapt draft reports, integrate legislation, verify data consistency, and ensure quality control.

Tasks Summary
  • Copy, analyze, expand and build upon information from executive summaries and country reviews to adapt draft final country review reports.
  • Include missing legislation and observations, verify consistency, resolve issues, and correct data errors.
  • Review executive summaries and draft reports for consistency and data accuracy.
  • Identify and amend gaps and overlaps between executive summaries and draft final reports.
  • Research and collect information and data to supplement thematic area assessments.
  • Ensure data in country review reports mirrors executive summary text.
  • Verify data from partially finalized draft country review reports and add new information.
  • Edit final reports for quality control and include additional information.
  • Support communication with State parties for report adoption and integrate requested modifications.
  • Support the finalization of 53 country review reports.
Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of two (2) years of working experience, preferably in law, with specialization in criminal justice/international law is required.
  • Knowledge of international law related to anti-corruption, including thorough familiarity with issues pertaining to the implementation of Chapters II to V of the Convention; familiarity with anti-corruption issues, particularly related to the UN Convention against Corruption and its inter-governmental process, is required.
  • Familiarity with computer-based applications, online library and legal search engines and methodologies, survey tools and statistical functions to gather and analyse information is required.
  • Previous experience with the United Nations, knowledge of and experience with the work of UNODC, particularly related to anti-corruption, is required.
Qualification Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in oral and written English and French is required.

Languages Preferred: • Knowledge of another official United Nations language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) is an advantage
