International consultant to strengthen the ability of Southeast Asia officials to respond to human trafficking and migrant smuggling through the development of new approaches and techniques, upskilling law enforcement, criminal justice officials and other key counterparts, and providing technical support to strengthen existing legal and policy frameworks.
An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in law, social science, political science, international relations, criminology or a related field is required. A first level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Languages Required: Fluency in English, with excellent drafting and communication skills, is required.
Languages Preferred: Knowledge of another United Nations official language, is an advantage.
Contract Duration: 16 March - 29 May 2026 (with possibility of extension)
Work Modality: Home based with travel to Southeast Asia and Pacific countries.
