Overview

The Senior Project Associate - Return, Readmission, Reintegration (VolRep) will support IOM Finland’s engagements in Return, Readmission and Reintegration, with a special focus on repatriation.

Tasks Summary
  • Assist in planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of project activities.
  • Compile, summarize, analyse, and present information/data on specific project topics.
  • Monitor budget implementation and propose adjustments.
  • Act as focal point for administrative coordination of project implementation.
  • Draft status reports and correspondence on project issues.
  • Organize meetings, workshops and training sessions.
  • Respond to complex information requests and inquiries.
  • Participate in meetings and conferences.
  • Monitor work of implementing partners.
  • Provide inputs for the development of Standard Operations Procedures (SOP) and concept papers.
  • Provide guidance/training and assist in coordinating and monitoring work of other staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
  • School diploma with six years of relevant experience; or, Bachelor’s degree with four years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
  • Experience in project management, including the use of results‑based approaches.
Qualification Requirements
  • High School Degree/Certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution.
Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in English, Swedish (oral and written).

Languages Preferred: • Any language(s) spoken by main migrant populations in Nordic countries is desirable.
