Overview

The Project Associate will assist with the implementation of the SHIELD project and support the Labour Migration and Social Inclusion (LMI) unit with project development efforts.

Tasks Summary

• Assist in coordinating the implementation and following-up on project activities, including work plans and deliverables.
• Organize steering committees, events, and focus group discussions.
• Liaise with partners and stakeholders and assist in project monitoring.
• Coordinate with internal units on project budget, contracts, administration, and procurement.
• Assist in drafting narrative and financial reports.
• Identify and suggest possible partnerships with civil society and other stakeholders.
• Draft conference presentations and speeches.
• Prepare for, participate in, and follow up on meetings/conferences.
• Assist with the development of new projects and initiatives, including drafting concept notes and project proposals.

Experience Requirements

• Three (3) years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience with a High School degree.
• Proven working experience in the area of project management.
• Proven experience with project monitoring and data analysis tools.
• Knowledge of the broad range of migration related areas is an advantage.

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in political science, social science, migration studies or a related field from an accredited academic institution.
• OR Completed High School degree.

Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in English, French and Dutch is required (oral and written).

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension
