Overview

The Property Management Officer supports the Chief of Unit in managing all property management support operations within the entire asset life cycle of UN property in the Mission.

Tasks Summary
  • Plans property management support operations and monitors progress.
  • Monitors ongoing operations and undertakes site visits for physical inspections.
  • Liaises with Technical Units, Procurement, and Movement Control on property matters.
  • Maintains accurate records for UN property accountability.
  • Ensures proper utilization of business intelligence and management tools.
  • Processes incoming shipments and prepares reports.
  • Monitors the Inventory Management database for anomalies.
  • Prepares periodic performance and statistical reports.
  • Drafts Standard Operating Procedures and flow charts.
  • Identifies and implements solutions to property management issues.
  • Ensures proper maintenance of the fixed assets register.
  • Tracks existing fixed assets and monitors physical verification processes.
  • Prepares and verifies periodic IPSAS financial reports on PP&E and Inventory.
Experience Requirements

A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible professional and supervisory level experience in the area of property management, inventory control, logistics management or related field is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to 5 years for the candidates who possess a first university degree. Experience with United Nations-system financial and property management policies and practices, as well as financial regulations and rules is desirable. Experience with MRP, ERP (e.g. SAP ECC), or SRM in production planning, scheduling, inventory control, procurement and logistics processes is desirable. Experience working with data analytics and visualization tools and developing data analytics and visualization reports and dashboards for supply chain is desirable.

Qualification Requirements

High School Diploma is required.
