Overview

The Youth Coordination Associate will contribute to research and analysis associated with the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework and support interagency coordination and collaboration.

Tasks Summary

• Facilitate coordination among UN Entities to support the implementation of the Cooperation Framework (2022-2026) and assist in key planning processes for the new Cooperation Framework (2027-2031).
• Contribute to interagency coordination and collaboration, including supporting thematic working groups and engaging with corporate scorecards.
• Conduct research, analysis, and content drafting to support interagency coordination and bespoke projects.
• Contribute to results-oriented initiatives within the context of the Cooperation Framework.
• Foster partnerships and facilitate dialogues with diverse stakeholders to advance sustainable development goals.
• Collaborate on advocacy and communications campaigns, particularly focusing on amplifying the UN’s work among young audiences through coordination with the UN Communications Group.
• Assist in organizing and coordinating high-level events to ensure smooth execution and impactful outcomes.

Experience Requirements

• 1 month relevant experience.
• Previous experience as a volunteer and/or experience of another culture, (i.e. studies, volunteer work, internship) would be highly regarded.
• Experienced or familiarity with the sustainable development context would be highly regarded.

Qualification Requirements

• Secondary education.
• Currently studying towards a degree in International Development, Public Administration, ICT, or related field.
