Overview

To provide specialized support functions and/or supervise staff performing standard logistics/supply chain processes and activities to enable effective delivery of goods and services for all delivery modalities.

Tasks Summary
  • Provide specialized support to logistics operations and activities.
  • Coordinate requisitioning and ensure timely delivery of commodities and supplies.
  • Manage logistics vendors’ contracting activities.
  • Support gathering market intelligence and vendor assessments.
  • Identify, resolve and/or provide recommendations on specialized queries/requests for support.
  • Prepare, monitor and revise budget for all delivery modalities.
  • Monitor inventory management processes.
  • Support oversight for commodity accounting data quality and integrity.
  • Analyse operational pipeline and contribute to assessments and operational planning.
  • Manage documentation processing for execution of logistics operations.
  • Perform research, collect data and conduct analysis, produce reports and ensure information accuracy in corporate systems.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support logistics operations management.
  • Supervise the work of support staff.
  • Support logistics emergency preparedness and response activities.
  • Monitor the quality and integrity of commodity accounting and CBT data.
  • Ensure real-time and IPSAS-compliant recording of all commodity movements, losses, and adjustments in LESS.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations between LESS and COMET.
  • Contribute to the Annual Country Report (ACR) and other corporate reporting.
  • Monitor the effective use of LESS Last Mile.
  • Support CBT operations, including field data collection, market and MFI assessments, and operational risk analysis.
  • Perform CBT reconciliations, and support the preparation, verification, and validation of CBT settlements.
  • Contribute to market development and improvement initiatives.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and training needs and organize refresher or capacity-building sessions.
  • Perform any other related duties as required by the supervisor.
Experience Requirements

At least six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in logistics, commodity accounting, cash-based transfers, data management, or supply chain operations, preferably within humanitarian or development contexts.

Qualification Requirements

Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Management, Statistics, Information Technology, or a related field is an asset.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in both oral and written communication in French and an acceptable level of English.
