Overview
To provide support to policy and programme activities that effectively meet food assistance needs.
Tasks Summary
- Contribute towards the development of a limited number of projects, plans and processes.
- Provide project management support to specific and defined programmes and projects.
- Follow data gathering and monitoring systems.
- Research and analyse policy and operational issues.
- Contribute to the preparation of accurate and timely reporting on programmes and activities.
- Liaise with internal counterparts to ensure effective collaboration.
- Support the identification, development and management of potential partnerships.
- Support the capacity building of WFP staff, partners and national government.
- Provide guidance to support staff.
- Contribute to the development of social protection portfolio.
- Engage in dialogue on the government’s Social Protection priorities.
Experience Requirements
- At least two years of directly relevant work experience in social protection and economic inclusion programmes.
- Strong understanding of social protection policies and shock-responsive social protection mechanisms.
- Extensive knowledge of social protection delivery systems and social registries is required.
- Previous experience working with the World Bank funding and a strong understanding of World Bank operations and landing mechanisms are desirable.
Qualification Requirements
• Advanced University degree in International Affairs, Economics, Nutrition/Health, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Social Sciences or other field relevant to international development assistance, or First University Degree with additional years of related work experience and/or trainings/courses.
