Overview

Contribute to the design and implementation of a national framework to strengthen the paediatric medicines ecosystem in four ASEAN countries, aiming to improve access to safe and effective medicines for children with high-burden conditions.

Tasks Summary
  • Development and implementation of a customized essential paediatric medicines framework for four ASEAN countries, including bottleneck analysis, stakeholder consultations, and pilot implementation reports.
  • National adoption and adaptation of the Essential Medicines List for Children (EMLc) through dissemination strategies, priority disease mapping, policy gap analysis, and M&E plans.
  • Leveraging global platforms to accelerate the introduction of novel therapeutics for paediatric use by updating toolkits and developing training materials.
  • Regional collaboration for strengthening the paediatric medicines ecosystem through stakeholder engagement reports, workshop summaries, and a regional roadmap.
  • Coordination of GAP-f’s Access and Delivery Working Group, including workplan development and meeting reports.
Experience Requirements
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in managing and coordinating collaborative projects.
  • Experience with introduction and roll out of new medical health products.
  • Experience providing technical and capacity-building support to government and development partners in Asia (desirable).
  • Experience and expertise in key aspects of pharmaceutical management, including national regulatory framework, procurement, and supply chain management (desirable).
Qualification Requirements
  • University degree (Master’s level) in medical or social science.
  • Advanced University degree (PhD level) in clinical epidemiology, public health, pharmacy or equivalent (desirable).

Languages Required: • Expert knowledge of English

Languages Preferred: • Intermediate or basic knowledge of another UN language

Contract Duration: 11 months

Work Modality: Off site: home based.

Remuneration: Band level B – USD 7'000 - USD 9'980 per month
