Overview

The Resource Mobilization Officer (Donor Engagement) will support strengthening the organization’s resource mobilization efforts by supporting strategic donor engagement and facilitating strong donor relationships.

Tasks Summary
  • Actively engage as the primary point of contact for assigned donors, initiating regular communication, anticipating their needs, and providing timely updates and solutions.
  • Liaise with relevant donor counterparts and support the organization and agenda setting against key fundraising objectives.
  • Initiate, review, and ensure the effective implementation of coordinated donor management, including conducting thorough research and analysis on donor priorities, strategies.
  • Prepare background briefs, talking points, and presentations tailored to the interests and expectations of assigned donors.
  • Serve as the primary focal point for Senior Official Meetings, leading coordination across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the organization of donor visits, Donor Advisory Group meetings and other key external fora.
  • Support the partnership building for IFIs / MDBs for IOM operations on migration and its interlinkages with other domains.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience with a Master’s degree; or, at least seven years of relevant professional experience with a University degree.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in humanitarian, resource mobilisation, programme support or donor relations and liaison.
  • Experience working in complex emergencies or protracted crises is highly desirable.
  • Experience in preparing analytical briefs or reports is an asset.
  • Organizational skills, with experience in multi-tasking, prioritizing, and working independently to meet deadlines.
Qualification Requirements

• Master’s degree in international relations, Partnership, Development Studies, International Affairs, Social Sciences, Law, or any related discipline; or, University degree in the above fields.

Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in English is required (oral and written).

Languages Preferred: • Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension
