Overview

The intern will support the Energy Unit in the analysis of data and information on natural resources to contribute to the Unit’s analytical and policy work.

Tasks Summary

• Systematize and analyze energy sector data for Latin America and the Caribbean.
• Develop visual communication materials, including graphs, infographics, and technical diagrams.
• Draft news articles, technical briefs, and editorial content.
• Assist in the technical update and content curation of energy web platforms.
• Provide support in organizing regional workshops and technical assistance missions.

Experience Requirements

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.

Qualification Requirements

• Enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
• Enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
• Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook and MS Teams.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in spoken and written Spanish is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 3-6 months

Remuneration: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
