Overview

The IT Coordinator-HQ Hub will drive the local implementation of global strategic objectives for IT & digitalization, connecting business strategies and stakeholders through process improvements and efficiency gains. The role ensures collaborative investments in digital enablers benefit the mission of DRC and is responsible for effective day-to-day IT services and support to country operations.

Tasks Summary
  • Liaise with Senior Management Teams in countries to ensure alignment of IT & digital investments.
  • Plan and implement IT global infrastructure standards across assigned countries.
  • Propose IT solutions to automate and streamline daily processes and operations.
  • Facilitate country level cost recovery for global/standard solutions and global infrastructure standards.
  • Represent the country perspective in the global IT management team.
  • Provide technical direction, guidance, and instructions to ensure compliance with DRC IT policies, standards, and strategies.
  • Support managers and IT staff through regular communication, capacity building, and promotion of best practices.
  • Assess the IT skills and performance of most senior IT staff in country offices.
  • Escalate and address issues of non-compliance or poor performance.
  • Participate in the recruitment of IT staff in country offices.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Experience working in a global IT organization.
  • Demonstrated success implementing new technology in areas where both core infrastructure and digital literacy is challenging.
  • Experience from the NGO sector and specifically with tools used in case management, data collection, business intelligence, ERP (desirable).
  • Experience implementing IT security and data protection frameworks (desirable).
Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
