Overview

The intern will support initiatives related to open and inclusive public spheres, focusing on research, analysis, communications, outreach, and knowledge management within the Regional Bureau for Asia and the Pacific.

Tasks Summary

• Conduct desk research on civic space, public participation, information integrity, and digital governance.
• Review and synthesize information from policy documents, project reports, and good practices.
• Support data collection, analysis, and documentation for monitoring and learning.
• Support the development of outreach, advocacy, and knowledge products.
• Draft and edit communication content for newsletters, blogs, talking points, and social media.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings, workshops, dialogues, and capacity-building activities.
• Maintain and update knowledge-management systems.
• Participate in team meetings and planning discussions.
• Perform other tasks as needed to support initiatives.

Experience Requirements

Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or currently enrolled in a Master’s degree, or graduated no longer than 1 year from a bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent studies.
• Field of study: International Development, Political Science, Sociology, Law, Communication, Journalism, or other related fields in Social Sciences or Humanities.
• Knowledge and a proficient user of Microsoft Office productivity tools.
• Ability to use basic design tools (e.g. Canva) to support programme communications, presentations, and visual materials.

Other Details

Languages Required: • Excellent command of English, both written and oral required

Languages Preferred: • Knowledge of other UN languages is an advantage

Contract Duration: 6 months

Remuneration: • Stipend in the amount of THB 8,302.50 monthly
