Overview

The Partnership Intern is expected to contribute to the development of public-private partnerships relevant for the implementation of the next Cooperation Framework.

Tasks Summary

• Support the organization of RCO’s major events, including logistics support and drafting briefing documents and speeches.
• Support the compilation and preparation of briefing and presentation materials, background information and documentation on China’s key policies and developments.
• Support the organization and follow-up of inter-agency and high-level meetings or events attended by the RC or RCO staff members.
• Support to incoming high-level UN delegations, including providing both logistics and substantive support.

Experience Requirements

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.

Qualification Requirements

• Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or, be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent).
• Applicants must have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
• Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills, build strong relationships with clients and work independently are functional competencies.
• Ability to design surveys and draft documents is desirable.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in spoken and written English is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of Chinese is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Work Modality: In-Person Full-time

Remuneration: The internship is UNPAID. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
