Overview

The UNV Project Field Coordinator will support the implementation and monitoring of gender equality and women's empowerment projects in Nampula, Mozambique. The role involves coordinating interventions, building partnerships, and providing administrative support.

Tasks Summary
  • Ensures timely and effective implementation of project activities.
  • Conducts systematic monitoring and reporting on projects implementation.
  • Contributes to the preparation of progress and financial reports.
  • Maintains close communication with project beneficiaries, consultants, and responsible partners.
  • Synthesizes, documents implementation of projects activities, success stories, and lessons learned.
  • Supports field research in gender equality and women empowerment.
  • Provides substantive inputs to building partnerships and resource mobilization.
  • Contributes to and participates in project evaluations.
  • Provides for continuous coordination among all project parties and partners.
Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience at national or provincial level in managing complex and multi-component programme interventions with national/provincial and district partners, preferably related to thematic area.
  • Experience in coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating development programmes.
  • Relevant experience at the national and/or international level with young women economic empowerment and leadership programmes and projects, including experience in design, management, monitoring and evaluation of thematic and multi-stakeholder development programmes.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working on development issues, preferably related to women’s rights, entrepreneurship development and gender equality.
Qualification Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Development Studies, Rural Development, International Relations, Gender and Human Rights related disciplines, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • A project/programme management certification would be an added advantage.

Contract Duration: 12 months (with possibility of extension)
