Overview
Provides crucial support to end-to-end logistics and customs clearance processes, contributing to the operational efficiency of WFP’s supply chain by facilitating customs processes, maintaining accurate commodity accounting, monitoring cargo movements, and coordinating with stakeholders.
Tasks Summary
- Provide support to ensure the timely facilitation and management of the customs process for WFP food commodities and non-food items.
- Provide support to logistics operations and activities.
- Support various pre-clearance and clearance process for WFP Palestine’s logistics movements.
- Following up all logistics related subjects with other partners and agencies and any other stakeholders.
- Assist in management of commodity accounting data quality and integrity.
- Process documentation for execution of logistics operations.
- Liaise with internal and limited number of external stakeholders to support efficient logistics operations management.
- Support the monitoring of WFP trucks.
- Ensure the Cart Note and/or relevant documentation is completed with correct and accurate information.
- Identify and report on any supply chain challenges identified at the crossing.
- Monitor and follow up with Transporters on movement of trucks until they offload the pallets at the crossings / final destinations.
- Consolidate information on daily incidents and notify it to the supervisor and other concerned parties.
Experience Requirements
Five years of progressively responsible working experience in supply chain / logistics.
Qualification Requirements
A secondary school diploma is required. Possession of a post‑secondary certificate in supply chain is desirable.
