Overview
The East Asian Biosphere Reserve Network (EABRN) Coordinator will support the day-to-day coordination of the network, assist in governance processes, and contribute to outreach and communication activities.
Tasks Summary
- Support the day-to-day coordination of the East Asian Biosphere Reserve Network (EABRN), including liaison with national focal points, biosphere reserve managers, and partner institutions.
- Assist the EABRN Secretariat in preparing and following up on governance processes, including Steering Committee meetings, regional consultations, and technical workshops.
- Contribute to the preparation of EABRN workplans, meeting reports, background notes, and progress summaries.
- Support youth engagement under EABRN, including coordination of youth-focused activities and exchanges.
- Assist in collecting, reviewing, and organizing technical and policy-relevant information related to biosphere reserves and sustainable development.
- Support monitoring and follow-up of EABRN activities.
- Contribute to outreach and communication activities for EABRN.
- Support resource mobilization efforts related to EABRN and MAB activities.
- Provide coordination, administrative, and logistical support to the Natural Sciences sector as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements
- 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in environmental governance, biosphere reserves, or sustainable development.
- Experience in coordination, programme support, or international cooperation is an asset.
Qualification Requirements
• Master's degree in environmental sciences, geography, sustainable development, natural resource management, international relations, or a related field.
