Overview

Manages and leads a team responsible for providing third-level support for non-routine, complex service requests, focused on developing and managing data services and software projects. Ensures timely, accurate, and lean provision of services and effective software development support across the Division.

Tasks Summary
  • - Manage a team of engineers, specialists and/or technicians and relevant resources for the timely and effective planning, tracking and delivery of divisional projects.
  • - Establish clear work objectives for staff, monitor workloads, and ensure effective performance management.
  • - Lead and promote knowledge sharing within the team and the Division.
  • - Lead the analysis of IT-related needs for safeguards implementation.
  • - Develop software and other equipment data solutions based on user requirements.
  • - Apply standard software engineering and project management practices.
  • - Manage the SGTS Data Centre and its infrastructure.
  • - Plan and implement the programmatic work of the team.
  • - Continuously improve the provision of services.
  • - Guide, motivate, and coordinate team members.
  • - Serve as the departmental subject matter expert.
  • - Manage the flow of internal communication.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of ten years of relevant working experience in Information Technology (Computer Programming, Software Analysis, Software Engineering) and Management and Programme Analysis (Programme Management, Project Management).
  • Experience working in a supervisory and/or management capacity required.
  • Experience managing complex technical projects required.
Qualification Requirements
  • Master's Degree - Advanced university degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree - University degree in a relevant field with two years of additional relevant working experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.
Other Details

Languages Required: Excellent oral and written command of English.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) an asset.

Work Modality:

Remuneration: Tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $103165 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $ 54781, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses; Other benefits include 6 weeks' annual leave, home leave travel, pension plan and health insurance.
