Overview

The consultant will support the implementation of the UN Youth Office's meaningful youth engagement initiatives and activities by editing and proofreading various reports and publications.

Tasks Summary

• Lead the editing and proofreading of various reports and publications launching in 2026, including:
• An academic publication on youth mental health and well-being.
• Two reports on youth political participation.
• A research report on Youth-Inclusive Peace Processes in Libya, Tunisia, and Yemen.
• A research report on integration of Youth Peace and Security (YPS) in Youth2030 implementation in Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Tunisia, and Lebanon.
• A research report on regional workshop report on Youth Participation in Peace and Security in MENA.

Experience Requirements

• Two (2) years of demonstrated experience in proofreading and editing is required.

Qualification Requirements

• Advance degree (masters or equivalent) in Literature, Journalism, Humanities, Foreign Languages, International Relations, Arts, or any other related fields is required.

Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in written and spoken English is required

Languages Preferred: • proficiency of other UN Languages is desirable
