Overview
The graphic designer will support the UN Youth Office's meaningful youth engagement initiatives by conceptualizing, designing, and laying out various publications and reports.
Tasks Summary
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and layout of an academic publication on youth mental health and well-being.
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and layout of two reports on youth political participation.
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and layout of a research report on Youth-Inclusive Peace Processes in Libya, Tunisia, and Yemen.
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and layout of a research report on integration of Youth Peace and Security (YPS) in Youth2030 implementation in Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Tunisia, and Lebanon.
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and layout of a research report on regional workshop report on Youth Participation in Peace and Security in MENA.
Experience Requirements
- At least 6 years' experience in design.
- Ability to produce compelling and youth friendly/innovative design materials.
- Extensive experience creating publications in Adobe/InDesign (or a similar programme) is required.
- Previous experience designing for accessibility is desirable.
- Ability to interpret academic content and data and translate it into coherent, visually engaging reports and publications, both for print and online, is desirable.
- Proficiency in designing illustrations and animations is desirable.
- Experience in developing materials for social media is desirable.
- Experience in designing online and print publications is desirable.
Qualification Requirements
• A first level university degree in graphic design, communication or a related field is required.
