Programme Management and Communications Intern

Overview

The Programme Management and Communications Intern will support the Office of the Secretariat of the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Road Safety in Geneva by contributing to research, drafting communications, and supporting various activities.

Tasks Summary

• Undertake research to support identification of potential partners and to inform activities of the Special Envoy;
• Draft articles, briefing notes and other outreach communications to help raise visibility of the global road safety crisis;
• Undertake research on initiatives that illustrate the nexus between road safety and other SDGs;
• Support the events, campaigns, projects and activities planned for the Special Envoy;
• Support the relevant activities on social media;
• Perform other duties as requested.

Experience Requirements

Qualification Requirements

• be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
• or be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent).

Other Details

Languages Required: • fluency in English is required.

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: 6 months.

Remuneration: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
