Public Information Intern

Overview

The United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs (UNODA) is seeking qualified interns to provide objective, impartial, and up-to-date information on disarmament issues and activities.

Tasks Summary

• Review multiple news platforms for the creation of an integrated disarmament news summary.
• Assist the Office with strategic communication and public outreach.
• Assist in developing media products for web and social networking platforms.
• Assist in developing content management and development of disarmament stories and information.
• Assist with drafting and editing publications.
• Design and produce presentations and supporting materials.
• Proactively contribute suggestions and ideas for design projects.
• Perform any other duties as requested by the supervisor.

Experience Requirements

Qualification Requirements

• Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
• Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent).

Other Details

Languages Required: • Fluency in spoken and written English is required.

Languages Preferred: • Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.

Contract Duration: 5 months

Work Modality: in-person

Remuneration: This internship is unpaid. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
