Overview

This internship focuses on conducting cross-cutting analysis of communications data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. The role supports the development of analytical frameworks and monitors communications performance.

Tasks Summary
  • Conduct cross-cutting analysis integrating data from multiple communications functions.
  • Systematize and standardize datasets from diverse sources.
  • Support the development of analytical frameworks and common indicators.
  • Analyse the performance of digital communication strategies.
  • Assess the effectiveness of digital content.
  • Generate data-driven recommendations to optimize platforms, formats, and content strategies.
  • Collect, clean, and analyse data from digital platforms.
  • Design and maintain dashboards, periodic reports, and data visualizations.
  • Apply basic statistical analysis to monitor trends, compare results, and assess impact.
  • Select, manage, and integrate relevant digital and social media analytics tools.
  • Analyse open-source data to identify risks to information integrity.
  • Develop indicators and metrics for monitoring information integrity risks.
  • Document analytical methodologies and ensure ethical data use.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of media coverage.
  • Identify trends in media engagement and institutional positioning.
  • Support the development of metrics to assess media relations effectiveness.
  • Analyse data from outreach and awareness-raising initiatives.
  • Measure advocacy outcomes using quantitative and qualitative indicators.
  • Generate insights to improve outreach and advocacy strategies.
  • Analyse the performance of campaigns and partnerships.
  • Assess the contribution of partners to communications objectives.
  • Identify best practices and opportunities to optimize joint campaigns.
  • Perform other related tasks as required.
Experience Requirements

No working experience is required to apply for the United Nations Internship Programme.

Qualification Requirements
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
  • Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent).
Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in oral and written Spanish is required.

Languages Preferred: Fluency in English is desirable.

Contract Duration: 3 to 6 months max

Work Modality: In-Person

Remuneration: The internship is UNPAID.
