Overview

The Senior Anti-Corruption Specialist will be the Asia and MENA regional specialist for the investigation and prevention of corruption affecting Oxfam’s work. The role holder will oversee all anti-corruption initiatives, training and investigations across the two regions.

Tasks Summary
  • Overseeing all anti-corruption initiatives, training and investigations across the Asia and MENA regions.
  • Leading in the response to high-risk incidents.
  • Advising senior organisational leaders on high risk issues.
  • Line managing two Anti-Corruption Specialists, mentoring and training them.
  • Overseeing and supervising investigations.
  • Conducting investigations.
  • Supporting colleagues in other regions when required.
  • Providing expert advice to senior stakeholders.
  • Responding to a range of incidents that may have security or regulatory implications.
  • Implementing anti-corruption or counter fraud measures in organisations.
  • Delivering training.
  • Reviewing policies.
  • Developing risk assessments.
Experience Requirements
  • Experience in investigation planning and techniques including victim and suspect interviewing, writing statements, evidence gathering and case presentation.
  • Significant experience of investigating serious and complex cases.
  • Particular interest in fraud, corruption, and internal investigations.
  • Experience of taking difficult decisions, managing risk and being accountable for those decisions.
  • Experience of implementing anti-corruption or counter fraud measures in organisations.
  • Experience of training.
  • Experience of handling large volumes of sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated good judgement in handling sensitive information, particularly from vulnerable people and confidential sources.
  • Professional experience.
  • Seeking additional responsibility and to branch out and gain experience of the INGO sector.

Remuneration: £36,826 with a discretionary range up to £42,481 (depending on experience).
