Overview

The National Project Officer will support the design, review, and monitoring of project work plans and budgets, as well as assist in the preparation of project-related events and reporting.

Tasks Summary
  • Support the design and revision of project annual work plans and budget proposals.
  • Review, verify, and analyze work plans, progress, and final reports.
  • Monitor the progress of project activities and follow up on delayed documents.
  • Follow-up with technical officers and counterparts to expedite implementation.
  • Assist in the programming and control of project resources, preparing budget estimates and expenditure forecasts.
  • Assist in the preparation and conduct of conferences, seminars, workshops, training sessions, and consultative meetings.
  • Draft, edit, or translate official correspondence, statements, speeches, and public information materials.
  • Participate in the preparation of background information, periodic progress reports, and statistical data.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Country Director.
Experience Requirements

At least one year of professional experience at the national level in the area of project management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Proven experience in working effectively with government bodies in charge of policy making and with development partners would be an asset.

Qualification Requirements

First level university degree in law, economics, public policies, development studies or a relevant field.

Other Details

Languages Required: Excellent knowledge of the working language of the duty station and a good knowledge of English.

Languages Preferred:

Contract Duration: One year extendable

Work Modality:

Remuneration: The entry level salary for this position is 634,059. (MDL) yearly.
