Overview
This internship is located in the Sustainable Energy Division (SED) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) in Geneva, Switzerland. The internship is designed to contribute to the work of the Division in promoting sustainable energy development.
Tasks Summary
- Assist in the organisation and servicing of intergovernmental and expert meetings.
- Conduct research, data analysis, draft studies and short articles.
- Contribute to social media campaigns and outreach efforts by preparing promotional content.
- Assist in data collection and analysis, including through web search, and preparation of documentation.
- Carry out other tasks such as meeting support, drafting of reports and updating databases.
Experience Requirements
Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
Qualification Requirements
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme, relevant to the field of work within the Division.
- Have good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Teams.
