Overview

Consultant to conduct training sessions for state lawyers on legal assistance to trafficking survivors, developing and updating training materials, and reporting on event outcomes.

Tasks Summary
  • Conduct two two-day training sessions for two groups of state lawyers on legal assistance for victims of trafficking.
  • Develop and update comprehensive training materials (presentations, agenda, pre- and post-training questionnaires, case studies, and other tools).
  • Deliver the presentation and moderate the trainings.
  • Provide feedback on the event.
  • Provide a comprehensive report on the event which includes an analysis of the pre and post questionnaires and propose additional CT activities upon request.
  • Steering conversations about the learning materials.
  • Guiding the participants through each of the steps of the process from the beginning to the end of the event.
  • Creating and maintaining a safe and open environment for sharing ideas and encouraging respect for the ideas voiced during facilitation.
  • Strictly adhere to IOM Standards of Conduct.
  • Keep all information confidential.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
Experience Requirements
  • At least, 10 years of practical experience in legal profession (e.g. lawyer, prosecutor or judge).
  • Strong knowledge of Moldovan criminal procedure, including evidentiary standards, procedural safeguards for victims.
  • Solid understanding of both national and international legal frameworks governing trafficking in persons.
  • Hands-on experience in working with specific human trafficking cases in the context of the Republic of Moldova.
  • Familiarity with the National Referral Mechanism (NRM) and practical collaboration with multidisciplinary anti-trafficking teams.
  • Experience working with or representing clients in sensitive, trauma-related cases, using a victim-centered and rights-based approach.
  • Proven experience of involvement in teaching activities.
Qualification Requirements

University degree in the field of Law, Criminal Justice, or other relevant field.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency in Romanian, Russian

Languages Preferred: working knowledge of English is welcomed

Contract Duration: Up to 11 months
