Overview

The Programme Coordinator ensures efficient, high-quality, coherent and well-coordinated multilateral programming support to National Societies. They manage a programme team and oversee humanitarian context in delegation countries.

Tasks Summary
  • Lead the planning of IFRC tailor-made multilateral program support to National Societies.
  • Coordinate IFRC Members in joint strategic analysis.
  • Coordinate relevant and timely demand-driven technical support to national societies.
  • Support National Societies with timely and effective disaster preparedness and response.
  • Oversee and coordinate IFRC operations following requests from national societies.
  • Support National Societies with readiness plans for red-level events.
  • Oversee the IFRC delegation’s readiness plan.
  • Support national societies to coordinate and engage internationally.
  • Support National Societies to engage with their Governments and institutionalise early warning system protocols.
  • Support National Societies to analyse the impacts from climate change and scale up climate action.
  • Oversee technical support to National Societies on health security, public health and water and sanitation.
  • Ensure multilateral programmes are designed to reinforce national society development goals.
  • Engage in national and regional humanitarian policy-related dialogues.
  • Coordinate programmatic input to the ASEAN-IFRC workplans and strategies.
  • Identify, recruit and manage technical surge human resources.
  • Manage program budgets effectively.
  • Ensure timely, accurate and high-quality reporting to partners and donors.
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate IFRC-supported programmes and operations.
  • Support the National Societies and the Secretariat to engage in humanitarian coordination mechanisms.
  • Contribute to and lead as necessary, strategic and operational coordination among IFRC members.
  • Build and nurture solid relationships with key external partners.
  • Work closely with the HoCCD to build new partnerships, develop funding proposals and mobilise international multilateral financial resources.
  • Coordinate closely with technical leads in the APRO.
  • Engage as a member of the CCD Senior Management Team.
  • Manage a team of technical program and surge staff.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, individual and team accountability.
  • Act on behalf of the Head of CCD, as requested.
Experience Requirements
  • 15 + years of experience
  • minimum of 5 years of managing and motivating teams
  • 10+ years of post-qualification experience working in the area of expertise
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in managing people
  • Experience with program management techniques and coordination
  • Budget and Human Resource Management experience
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience with the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement, including time in the field and/or with a National Society is preferred
Qualification Requirements
  • Relevant University degree
  • IMPACT/Basic Delegates Training Course (Preferred)
  • Post-graduate qualification in management or leadership (Preferred)
  • Relevant professional training courses (Red Cross/Red Crescent related, humanitarian and development sector, management, etc.) (Preferred)

Contract Duration: 6 months with the posibility of extension

Work Modality:

Remuneration: Range of Salary for this position start from IDR 40,293,000 – IDR 64,808,000
