Overview

Assist with the creation, editing, and production of multimedia content for UNCTAD's platforms, contributing to the dissemination of accurate and impactful content to the public.

Tasks Summary
  • Assisting with the creation, editing, and production of multimedia content (videos, podcasts, infographics, social media posts) for UNCTAD's platforms.
  • Supporting live coverage of events and conferences through photography, videography, and audio recording.
  • Assisting in editing and post-production of multimedia content using Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, Canva.
  • Contributing to social media by creating engaging content and supporting digital campaigns.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure accurate and timely multimedia outputs.
  • Assisting with archiving multimedia assets and maintaining a multimedia library.
  • Participating in team meetings and brainstorming sessions for content ideas.
  • Other related duties as required.
Experience Requirements

Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.

Qualification Requirements

A University degree in the area of media, communications, graphic design and/or multimedia arts, journalism, marketing, public relations, international studies, photography or closely related field is required. Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or PhD Programme, or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme.

Other Details

Languages Required: Fluency spoken and written in English is required.

Languages Preferred: Knowledge of French or Spanish is an advantage.

Contract Duration: six months

Work Modality: in person

Remuneration: The United Nations Internship Programme is unpaid and full-time. Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
