Overview
The Finance Officer - Partnership will provide technical support in document review, ensuring adherence to Financial Policies and Standard Operating Procedures, and offer financial support to field offices and local partners.
Tasks Summary
- Support on banking and petty cash payments.
- Review payment documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain cash books and upload them into SharePoint.
- Ensure all documents are scanned and uploaded to Dynamics.
- Prepare cash counts, cash reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain an archive system for transaction vouchers.
- Support in donor and financial audits.
- Review costs booked in budgets for accuracy and rebook as per requests.
- Support in preparing financial reports.
- Participate in partner selection, due diligence, and risk assessment.
- Participate in kick-off workshops and capacity-building events.
- Maintain budget oversight and review partner financials.
- Conduct monitoring and follow-up visits to partners.
- Review partners' financial reports and supporting documents.
- Upload partner expenses to the DRC ERP Dynamics system.
- Archive and document finance data.
- Assist in resolving administrative and finance-related inquiries from partners.
- Maintain and update contact lists for partners and trainees.
- Prepare training materials and facilitate training sessions.
- Perform monthly partner account reconciliation and settle accounts.
- Keep and update the partner tracker.
- Support in audits.
- Make regular technical support field visits to partners and DRC field offices on compliance.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in finance or accounting, 2 of them in an NGO, and local partner-related experience.
Qualification Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
- Advanced skills in Excel and Accounting systems.
- Good background in accounting and finance.
- Robust character.
