Overview

Assists in the coordination of programme/project planning and preparation work, monitors status of proposals, and compiles, summarizes, and presents programme data.

Tasks Summary
  • Assists in the coordination of programme/project planning and preparation work.
  • Monitors status of programme/project proposals and receipt of relevant documentation.
  • Compiles, summarizes, and presents basic information/data on specific programmes.
  • Reviews project documents for completeness and compliance.
  • Reviews budget revisions and verifies fund availability.
  • Serves as focal point for administrative coordination of programme/project implementation activities.
  • Compiles, summarizes and enters data on project delivery.
  • Drafts related status reports.
  • Participates in the preparation and support of the biennial Debt Management Conference and other workshops/meetings.
  • Drafts correspondence and prepares and updates periodic reports.
  • Assists in the preparation of presentation materials.
  • Provides general office assistance.
  • Responds to complex information requests and inquiries.
  • Reviews, logs and routes incoming correspondence.
  • Sets up and maintains files/records.
  • Organizes meetings, workshops.
  • Handles routine administrative tasks.
  • Provides guidance/training to new/junior staff.
  • Assists with the collection and analysis of data.
  • Assists with visualizations and updating information material.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in programme or project administration, technical cooperation or related area is required. The minimum is reduced to 3 years for candidates who possess a first-level university degree or higher. Experience working in the UN system is desirable. At least 3 years of experience using the ERP system such as UMOJA is desirable. At least 3 years of experience using the online recruitment and talent management system such as INSPIRA is desirable.

Qualification Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Other Details

Languages Required: English is required.

Languages Preferred: French is desirable.
