Overview
The Senior Project Officer plays a key leadership role in ensuring high-quality implementation of climate-adaptive livelihood, community resilience, and child-centered climate change adaptation interventions. The role provides technical support, leads field-level coordination, and oversees community engagement processes.
Tasks Summary
- Provide technical guidance on climate-adaptive livelihoods, DRR/CCA, climate-smart agriculture and community-based resilience planning.
- Supervise, mentor, and support project officers, field facilitators, and community mobilizers.
- Coordinate closely with National, Province, District and Village authorities and relevant technical departments.
- Oversee community selection, vulnerability assessments, and climate risk profiling.
- Validate beneficiary lists, distribution sheets, and training reports.
- Prepare high-quality activity reports, inputs for donor reports, and field documentation.
- Contribute to rapid assessment and response related to DRR and Humanitarian response during emergencies.
Experience Requirements
- 5 years of experience in livelihood, DRR/CCA, resilience, food security, or community development programming.
- Proven experience working in Luang Prabang Province and with district.
- Demonstrated experience supervising staff and leading field teams.
Qualification Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in Agriculture, Rural Development, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, or related field.
